Westpac Bank Key Facts

On 15 February , 2011, in Mortgage lenders, by Michael Lee

Westpac is Australia’s first and oldest bank, tracing it’s roots back to the Bank of New South Wales, which was established in 1817. Following it’s aquisition of RAMS Home Loans and St George Bank, Westpac is also arguably Australia’s largest bank. Westpac is a monster and includes several highly recognisable brands,

  • Westpac Retail and Business Banking
  • St.George Bank
  • RAMS Home Loans
  • BT Financial Group
  • Westpac Institutional Bank
  • Westpac New Zealand

Westpac is unlikely to ever be one of the lower priced mortgage lenders however it claims to put the customer at the centre of everything they do. If they’re telling the truth, then they should offer the best service of all of them.
